
Michael Johnson, MD completed his Family Medicine Residency program at UVM / FAHC in 2005, serving as Chief Resident, and, after practicing in Colchester for a few years, joined Evergreen Family Health in February 2008. He has training and experience caring for all ages in the office and hospital, and performs minor office procedures. Dr Johnson attended high school in New Brunswick New Jersey, and went on to the US Naval Academy. He completed his college degree with Honors, in Classics at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr Johnson studied theology for 5 years in St Paul, MN; Leipzig Germany; and Rostock, Germany before attending medical school at the University of Rostock, Germany.
Dr. Johnson maintains an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Vermont College of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine, enjoying the rewarding challenges of teaching medical students and medical residents. He is proficient in German. He enjoys skiing, swimming, biking, hiking, travel, and coaching rec soccer, as well as teaching Sunday school. He currently resides with his wife Anna, and three girls in Colchester.
